By now, some of our New Year's resolutions have been abandoned. Maybe spring should be the time to make our resolutions as we observe our world outside changing so beautifully. The excitement of seeing blooming daffodils, tulips and dogwoods coloring our world may spur us to consider new beginnings.
Have you considered what new beginning you might tackle this spring?
Wherever you choose to make changes, remember "F.A.C.T." Simply put, these are the emotional needs we all have:
F...Focused Attention
A...Attachment and Belonging
C...Control and Power
T...That "Top of the World" feeling of knowing we're competent and adequate
It IS a fact that we all need these things. When we use our communication skills to foster them in ourselves and others, we offer encouragement and hope, thus making a new beginning-and a positive difference-in our own life and in the lives of others.
For more insight and practice, attend the women's retreat mentioned below, where I will offer in-depth teaching on these four areas.

For Women Only
Giving the Gift of Encouragement
Bring a friend or family member and share the experience of being uplifted and encouraged together. The weekend theme is "Giving the Gift of Encouragement" based on Ephesians 4:29. The cost is $65.
By the time you get in your car to return home, you will have:
- The communication tools needed to encourage others and make a positive difference in their lives.
- The excitement of making new friends in a safe and comfortable environment filled with music, fun and learning
- An appreciation of new beginnings in God's creations and renewing your loving relationship with God and others

Summer will be here before you know it. Many churches are already planning their summer programs. Whatever your theme, I will create a fun, exciting and memorable clown presentation that will reinforce the Biblical concepts of your program.
